Ubisoft Montreal’s new game, FarCry Primal was announced today. It is a complete new game and not a DLC to the previous FarCry games. The game is set to release on Xbox One and Playstaion 4 on February 23rd, 2016. However, PC version of the game will release a month late in March 2016.
The first trailer of the game was also release along with the announcement. The trailer shows a small tribe of four men stalking, and hunting down mammoths to make a living. They took down a mammoth with their self made weapons before they were attacked by a sabertooth tiger.
There are enemy outposts just like other FarCry games which are occupied by other humans. There will be no weapons allotted to you at the beginning of the game. Players will have to collect stones and bones to make their first lethal weapon. It is an open world game set in 10,000 B.C. Players will get to play in an all new environment, very different from the previous FarCry games.
Creative director Jean-Christophe Guyot said that the game focuses on
the time when humans put a stick in the ground and claimed land for their own, the time when we started climbing the food chain. That came with conflict, against other humans of course, but also against nature itself.
