Sony recently released a new model for Playstation 4 with hard drive capacity of a terabyte. The new model was supposed to produce less heat, consume less power and be more efficient but that didn’t happen.

The 500gb model which was the original one, is more efficient and is being sold in bulk quantity. It uses “CUH-1200” version which consumes about 25% less power and is approximately 35% faster. The 1tb model on the other hand has an old chip in it, the “CUH-1100”. It is not advanced and also has a small motherboard. All of those downgrades for a bigger hard-drive.

We recommend not to buy the 1 TB model, unless you are happy in paying high amounts of money for your electricity bill.
