It hasn’t been long since companies like LG started showcasing their new UHD (Ultra High Definition AKA 4K) screens and television sets. Skeptics said that the world was not ready for UHD displays and that 1080p would be the mainstream leader for the foreseeable future. Which is true, but we’re seeing the adaptation of UHD take place at a much more rapid pace.

Samsung announced its consumer ready UHD Blu-ray player which will be a great thing to have since Fox Studio is planning on releasing its movies on the UHD format as well.

The player model is UBD-K8500, and according to Samsung it would cost less than $500.
